Workshop on Implementing MQF 2024: Research-based Programme

25th June 2025, Putrajaya- - Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) participated in the Workshop Implementing MQF 2024: Research-based Programme organized by the Public University Quality Management Council (MPQUA) in collaboration with the Centre for Quality Management and Assurance, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu on 25 June 2025 at the Zenith Hotel, Putrajaya. The program was attended by Prof. Ts. Dr. Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain (Deputy Dean of Academics, Curriculum and Data), School of Graduate Studies and Dr. Zufarnzaana Zulkeflee (Associate Fellow of Academic Quality Assurance).

This workshop is a one-day training program that aims to provide exposure to the new emphasis introduced in the MQF 2024. The focus is on the integration of the National Education Philosophy (NEP), the MQF Learning Outcomes cluster and Sustainability Competency in the development or revision of program learning outcomes.

In addition, the workshop also guided participants in the implementation of the Global Sustainability Agenda in the evaluation of research-based programs. During the workshop, participants were given the opportunity to engage in practical sessions that included activities such as mapping MQF learning outcomes, learning outcomes based on the Standard Master and Doctorate (SMDD) and Sustainability Competency to the evaluation criteria of research-based programs and the development of appropriate rubrics.

This program provides great benefits in strengthening the understanding and application of MQF 2024 principles, especially in the context of evaluating and developing more competitive and sustainable education programs.

The workshop was attended by approximately 150 participants representing 20 Public Universities in Malaysia.

The team from UPM was represented by Prof. Dr. Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain (SGS), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahmat Dapari (Cade-LEAD) and Dr. Zufarzaana Zulkeflee (FHAS, CQA Associate Fellow) together with speaker Sr. Ir. Dr. Suhaimi Abdul Talib.
