30 Julai 2026, Serdang – Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) received a delegation from the Office of Knowledge for Change and Advancement (KCA), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in a landmark visit held at the CQA Meeting Room, UPM today. The delegation, consisting of 10 academic and administrative representatives, was led by Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Irwan bin Ariffin, Director of KCA. The visit aims to understand the quality assurance framework, audit management and accreditation of academic programs implemented at CQA UPM. In addition, this session also serves as a platform to share experiences, exchange views and identify best practices that can be adapted to the needs of IIUM, in addition to strengthening the collaborative network between the two institutions. Throughout the sharing session, UPM's CQA presented the university's quality assurance governance structure, implementation of the self-accreditation system, program accreditation management, academic audits, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) monitoring, and the use of digital systems to support quality assurance management at the university. The session continued with bilateral discussions that provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on challenges, experiences and best practices in strengthening the higher education quality assurance system. This benchmarking visit is expected to strengthen the strategic relationship between UPM CQA and IIUM KCA, thus becoming a catalyst for closer cooperation in strengthening the culture of quality and academic excellence in both institutions.
