18th December 2024, Serdang - Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has held the 61st UPM Quality Committee Meeting (No.3) Year 2024 at the Senate Hall, Putra Chancellery Building, UPM. This meeting is a special forum to discuss the quality agenda at the University level for the purpose of ensuring the appropriateness, adequacy and effectiveness of the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS) on a regular basis; make an assessment of improvement opportunities and the need for change to functional level and  action plans including quality objectives as well as ISMS objectives and targets; approving any proposed amendments to documents for the scope of ISO management (QMS and ISMS); and noted the effectiveness of the implementation of ISO at the Process Leader and Responsibility Centre (PTJ) levels. UPM Quality Committee meeting chaired by Prof. Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib, Director of CQA UPM Management Representative, is held three (3) times a year. Through the implementation of this meeting, the planning and agenda of the meeting were achieved in accordance with the UPM Service Quality Activity Calendar 2024 which has been developed at the Office of the Deputy Director, Service Quality Assurance, CQA. The commitment of all members of the meeting among UPM Quality Committee Lead Officer, Deputy Process Lead Management Representative (TWP PP) and Deputy Management Representative of the Responsibility Centre (TWP PTJ), inputs and results from this meeting have helped to strengthen the aspects of management and quality culture through certain monitoring and measurement elements to ensure that UPM performance achievements are in line with the KPI targets that have been set. The meeting session which lasted for two (2) hours was successfully implemented and achieved the objectives as intended.
