14th July 2026, Serdang - Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received a delegation visit from the Academic Quality Assurance Division (BJKA), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) for a benchmark visit session which took place at the CQA Meeting Room, UPM. The visit led by the Director of BJKA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ade Syaheda Wani Marzuki was aimed at sharing UPM's best practices in academic quality assurance management, especially in preparation for UNIMAS to face the Mock Audit and Full Audit phase of Self-Accreditation. During the session, the UNIMAS delegation was briefed on the implementation of the quality assurance system in UPM as well as shared experiences and best practices in terms of audit logistics management, preparation at the highest management level, document management and supporting evidence, as well as corrective action implementation strategies after the audit. The session was also followed by a bilateral discussion which provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange views, experiences and ideas in strengthening the governance of academic quality assurance in line with the aspirations of excellence in higher education in the country. This benchmark visit is expected to strengthen the strategic cooperation network between UPM and UNIMAS, as well as open up space for the sharing of knowledge and best practices that can be leveraged by both institutions in an effort to strengthen the culture of quality and continuous improvement. |
