23rd Disember 2025, Serdang –  Training for the Internal  Assessment Panel (IAP) - New Changes in the Curriculum conducted by the Institutional Audit Section, Academic Quality Assurance, Center for Quality Assurance (CQA) has witnessed the participation of as many as 38 Academician (33 staffs present physically and 5 staffs via online) consisting of IAP who have been appointed by CQA as the programme audit Assessment Panel. The training session held on 23rd December 2025 at Mini Auditorium 1, Deputy Chancellor Building (Research and Innovation), UPM was delivered by Prof. Madya Dr. Noor Syamilah Zakaria, KB, PA (CQA Director) and Dr. Zufarzaana Zulkeflee (Deputy Director of CQA Academic Quality Assurance).   Among the contents of the exercise is explaining the current status of UPM IAP  after  Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) made new decisions regarding the appoitment of external IAPs by universities with self-accredited status for the assessment of Provisional Accreditation, Full Accreditation and Maintenance/Compliance Audits starting  20th June 2024.   Apart from that, also shared were the findings of the external IAP during the UPM programme accreditation assessment carried out in 2025 and the latest MQA regulations as well as new changes in the curriculum which aims to enable participants to take the opportunity to carry out continuous improvements to their respective programmes. Through this training session, it was also explained the direction of UPM internal IAPs if they were interested in being appointed as IAP by other universities.   In fact, the participation of UPM IAP in this training session provides a positive sign of the readiness and potential of academician to continue contribute as IAP in assessing accredited programmes and improving the university curriculum.
