10th February 2026, Lenggeng – Three officers from Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Puan Nurainakmal Kamal Bahrin, Puan Siti Fatimah Hasim and Cik Nor Syazila Abdul Rahim attended a discussion session with Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato’ Klana Putra, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan for the purpose of implementing the CQA Community Network Project - Academic Quality and Service Quality Aspiration Programme. As a background, CQA, UPM is the main leader for the Service Quality and Innovation Day (HKIP) Celebration event, UPM. This biennial programme is a special initiative to express UPM's appreciation to all UPM employees. The focus is on the approach and practice of a quality, creative and innovative work culture process that is highlighted in improving service quality. This programme serves as a strategic platform in fostering and strengthening a quality culture oriented towards continuous improvement, especially among officers of the Management and Professional Group and the Implementation Group at UPM. Community Networking is one of the components of the administrative management transformation that is being assessed. This important element is intended to respond to the call for knowledge transfer to the community. CQA, UPM is planning a strategic initiative with Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato’ Klana Putra, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan to strengthen students’ and teachers’ understanding of the importance of academic quality assurance and service quality assurance for educational institutions. This program focuses on introducing the importance of Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) accreditation in the field of study, career paths after SPM, and exposure to the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) and Green Sustainability as quality work culture practices at the school level. This initiative is expected to instill a spirit of curiosity, openness to knowledge and increase the professionalism of school staff, especially students and teachers, towards quality assurance aspects in the academic field and more impactful and systematic educational services. The program period, which will last for one year starting in July 2025, begins with the program planning phase, followed by the implementation of knowledge transfer activities, monitoring the development of knowledge, attitudes, skills and aspirations of participants, as well as evaluation of changes in practices and community empowerment. This program is carefully designed with field activities scheduled for 23rd April 2026, to ensure the continued impact of knowledge sharing by CQA, UPM as a valuable contribution in shaping the character and identity of quality students with a passion for knowledge.
