13th October 2025, Petaling Jaya - Academic Quality Assurance conducted a benchmarking visit to Monash University Malaysia on 13th October 2025.  Delegation from CQA of 5 officers ware led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Syamilah (Director), Dr. Zufarzaana Zulkeflee (Deputy Director of Academic Quality Assurance), Miss Aidawati Ramali (Head, Institutional Audit Section), Mrs. Shaerin Azrin Ab Rahman (Head, Program Audit Section) and Mrs. Rahmawati Umar (Head, Program Data Section). Also participating in the visit was a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, UPM led by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Razif Harun (Deputy Dean, Graduate and International), Mr. Sazwan Ishak (Administrative Officer, Programme Management and Quality Unit) and Mr. Farris Danial Ahmad Fadzil (Executive Officer, International Networking Unit). Based on the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Monash University Malaysia has been named a high-performing institution among 19 self-accredited universities in Malaysia by obtaining excellent scores exceeding 90% in three areas assessed across four main areas, namely Institutional Leadership and Governance, Academic Development and Management, Talent and Resources, and Continuous Quality Improvement and Sustainability. The purpose of the visit was for UPM CQA to learn best practices in Monash University's internal accreditation process and the implementation as well as monitoring of continuous quality improvement. Meanwhile, Faculty of Engineering representative shared its experience in the process and implementation of industrial PhD programmes at UPM.
