Academic Quality Assurance Roadshow @ Faculty of Educational Studies

 

       

17th October 2025, Serdang  - The Quality Assurance Centre (CQA) for the first time held an Academic Quality Assurance Roadshow (JJKA) program to appreciate and translate  UPM's True North  which was emphasized in the message of the Vice-Chancellor of UPM, YBhg. Dato' Professor Ir. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah so that UPM citizens provide services beyond expectations. Therefore, starting in 2025, the Faculty of Educational Studies (FPP) has been selected as the second stopover location for the JJKA program as one of the ways for the CQA outreach program to faculties/schools which was held on 17th October 2025 at the Conference Room and Q-Hub, FPP. 

    

 

The roadshow program at the Faculty of Educational Studies was attended by 6 CQA delegations consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Syamilah Zakaria, KB, PA (Director of CQA), Dr. Zufarzaana Zulkeflee (Deputy Director of Academic Quality Assurance, CQA), Ms. Aidawati Ramali (Head of Institutional Audit Section), Mrs. Shaerin Azlin Ab Rahman (Head of Program Audit Section) and Mrs. Rahmawati Umar (Head of Program Data Section) and Ms. Nor Syazila Abdul Rahim from the Institutional Audit Section.

Among the objectives of the JJKA are:

  • Introducing Academic Quality Assurance and its role;
  • Strengthen the understanding and role of faculty management and program owners regarding the latest MQA and CQA requirements;
  • Provide consultation to program owners and discuss issues/challenges in complying with standard requirements.
    

The JJKA program began with a welcome speech from the Dean of FPP, Associate Professor Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar and was followed by the Opening Session of the roadshow presented by Associate Professor Dr. Noor Syamilah Zakaria, KB, PA (Director of CQA) and was attended by 20 participants consisting of the Dean, Deputy Deans, Heads of Departments, Program Coordinators and Academic Administrators.

Immediately after the Opening Session briefing, a photo session and souvenir giving session was held at the Q-Hub Room. Meanwhile, starting at 10.45 am, a Session with Program Owners was held at the same location involving 26 members from six departments to ask further questions regarding the status of programs that have exceeded the accreditation retention period and to seek clarification in ensuring that the program complies with the set standard requirements. The program, which started at 9 am, ended at 12.30 pm.
