13th March 2025, Serdang - The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) held a 2025 Academic Quality Assurance Briefing to all Deputy Deans of Academics and Deputy Deans of Graduate Studies from Faculties/Schools on 13 March 2025 at the Mini Auditorium, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Building, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The briefing, which was held in a hybrid format, was attended by 22 people while the online format was specifically for UPM Bintulu Campus.
This briefing was the second time held by CQA and was delivered by Prof. Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abdul Talib, Director of CQA and was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Syamilah Zakaria (Deputy Director of Academic Quality Assurance), Puan Rahmawati Umar (Head of Program Audit Section), Puan Shaerin Azlin Ab Rahman (Head of Institutional Audit Section) and Cik Hajah Aidawati Ramali (Head of Program Data Section).
The objective of this briefing is to strengthen understanding of the latest requirements for academic quality assurance, enhance the responsibility of academic quality management at the faculty/school level and also serve as a forum for discussion with faculties/schools regarding issues/challenges in academic quality assurance at faculties/schools so that they can be refined and researched together. This briefing session is very significant in ensuring continued compliance of academic quality assurance management with the latest MQA standards through explanations regarding circulars and information letters issued by MQA according to the current year.
