Adjunct and Associate Fellow

Background

The UPM Management Committee through its 616th meeting on 4 August 2017 has agreed to appoint an Associate Fellow (Accreditation) at the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA). This Associate Fellow is appointed among the academicians who are the UPM Internal Reviewer Panel for program accreditation and fellow selection based on good involvement, commitment, effort, and writing in carrying out auditing assignments.

For starters in 2019, the membership of Associate Fellows has been increased from seven (7) to eleven (11). In 2022, on the justification of the need to monitor the quality assurance aspect at the university and faculty/school level as well as to establish accreditation-related specialists at the faculty.

Now the number of CQA Associate Fellows has increased to eighteen (18) people and is divided according to the fields of Science and Technology and the field of Literature and Social Sciences. The appointed Associate Fellow will be responsible:

a. To be a think tank in planning and improving the framework and implementation of UPM's academic quality assurance system based on the standards set by MQA

b. Assist in the preparation of reports or documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) as well as auditing activities by MQA

c. Provides advisory services on the auditing process of the program as well as a trainer (speaker or facilitator) in strengthening training activities to the Panel of Internal Assessors.
