UPM Records Zero Non-Compliance for 2025 Performance Report

20th December 2025, Putrajaya – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has sent a delegation to attend the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Engagement Session with Self-Accredited Higher Education Providers (PPT) on 20th December 2025 at the Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya. The delegation from the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) consisted of 5 officers led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Syamilah (Director), Dr. Zufarzaana Zulkeflee (Deputy Director of Academic Quality Assurance), Miss Aidawati Ramali (Head, Institutional Audit Section), Mdm. Shaerin Azrin Ab Rahman (Head, Programme Audit Section) and Mdm. Rahmawati Umar (Head, Programme Data Section). Also part of the UPM delegation was  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad, Director, Centre for Academic Leadership Development and Excellence (CADe-Lead).

The programme, which was officiated by Datuk Professor Dr. Azlinda Azman (Director-General of Higher Education), was attended by 20 self-accredited HEPs. The programme was held to inform about the performance of self-accredited HEPs, to present the latest developments regarding  the Institutional Quality Assurance Framework  (IQAF) document which replaces  the Code of Practice for Institutional Audit  (COPIA) and the implementation of self-accredited HEP audit and training activities in 2026.

During the session, Prof. Ts. M. Iqbal Saripan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Quality Assurance), MQA had  shared on Strengthening Quality Assurance System of Self-accredited HEPs and the Institutional Quality Audit Framework (IQAF) Document Edition 2025. This was followed by question and answer session with the IQAF Developer Panel.

In the programme, UPM has also received performance report for 2025 which recorded zero non-compliance for  programmes listing in MQA portal for Provisional Accreditation meanwhile  programmes registration in  Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR) for Full Accreditation. Special congratulations to faculties/schools involved in the evaluation of 7 programmes in 2025, namely Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, School of Business and Economics, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Food Science and Technology in ensuring compliance with the current standards and regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education  and MQA.
