19th May 2026, Serdang - Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), welcomed a delegation from the Quality Management and Strategic Department of the Seremban City Council (MBS) on 19th May 2026 at the Meeting Room of the Centre for Quality Assurance, UPM. The delegation was led by Ms. Nabilah Abu Talib, Assistant Director of the Quality Management and Strategic Department, MBS, accompanied by three staff members, namely Ms. Nur Liyana Rosli, Ms. Nur Husna Samsuddin, and Ms. Suaidah Sahira Saharudin. Representing CQA was Ms. Rozi Tamin, Deputy Director of Service Quality Assurance, together with the Heads of Sections under Service Quality Assurance, namely Ms. Nurainakmal Kamal Bahrin, Head of the Documentation Section, and Ms. Zenaida Md Zenon, Head of the Quality Audit Section. This benchmarking visit was organized to enhance the implementation of MS ISO 9001:2015 documentation management practices at the Seremban City Council (MBS). The primary objective of the visit was to gain further exposure and insights into the implementation of the e-ISO system adopted by UPM. The briefing covered the background and functions of CQA, the role of service quality assurance, the chronology of ISO certification and maintenance at UPM, the structure of service quality management, certification policies and scope, as well as detailed information on ISO documentation management practices at the University. CQA provided a comprehensive explanation of UPM’s ISO document hierarchy and the categorisation of ISO documents into five main groups: Management, Pre-University, Core Services, Support Services, and Support Service Operations. In addition, CQA shared information on the governance and requirements for ISO documentation development, which involve UPM’s Document Control Coordinators (PKD) and Deputy Document Control Coordinators for Process Owners (TPKD PP). The delegation was also briefed on ISO document control procedures and the latest statistics relating to ISO documentation at UPM. Furthermore, CQA elaborated on UPM’s ISO Management System, which is supported by the e-ISO System. The system is administered by the Documentation Section, CQA, UPM, with technical support from the Information Development and Communication Centre (iDEC), UPM. Through the briefing, system demonstration, and discussion session, the MBS delegation expressed positive feedback regarding UPM’s well-organised, comprehensive, and user-friendly governance approach in managing ISO documentation. |
