6th February 2024, Serdang - The Centre for Quality Assurance in collaboration with SIRIM Training Services Sdn Bhd organized a Transition Course for ISO/IEC 27001 Standard from version 2013 to version 2022 held at the Putra Future Classroom, Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM. The course, held on February 6, 2024, aimed to provide early exposure from SIRIM as the certification body responsible for ISO implementation regarding the requirements of MS ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Standard to assist UPM in planning and transitioning processes for the Information Security Management System (ISMS) MS ISO/IEC 27001:2022 targeted to be implemented in 2025. The course was conducted by Ts Azwarie Ahmad @ Mohd Yusoff, a consultant from SIRIM Training Services, who has extensive experience in ICT and information security management. Information security is the practice of protecting information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, inspection, recording, or destruction. Among the objectives of the course were:
A total of 29 participants attended the course, including members of the ISMS Team comprising Deputy ISMS Management Representatives, ISMS Advisors, New Undergraduate Student Registration Teams at the Serdang Campus and Bintulu Campus, Data Center Teams, Undergraduate Teaching Assessment Teams at the Faculty, New Postgraduate Student Registration Teams, ISMS Auditors from UPM, and staff from the Centre for Quality Assurance. |
