8th March 2024, Serdang - Welfare and Social Club (KKS), Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has launched the Ramadan Barakah Basket on 26th January 2024 with the aim of providing opportunities for CQA staff who wish to share sustenance and seize rewards in the month of fasting through donations in the form of food. This initiative is the second time it has been held after receiving an encouraging response last year. Among the donations that have been received from CQA staff are packs of dates, Sunquick cordial, rose syrup, condensed milk and canned milk, chili paste, rice packs and serunding. While the donations received in the form of cash are used to prepare iftar dishes every Friday evening throughout the month of Ramadan such as Roti John, kuih gula melaka, caramel pudding and cocktail. Ahead of 1 Ramadan 1445H corresponding to 12th March 2024, the Welfare and Social Club has distributed Ramadan Basket on 8th March 2024 to all CQA staff located at Read@CQA. Immediately after that, KKS organized a birthday celebration for CQA staffs who celebrated it in January (Ms. Hajah Aidawati Ramali), February (Ms. Nor Syazila Abdul Rahim) and March (Mrs. Shamriza Shari). It is hoped that this Ramadan Basket distribution will continue to be a traditional KKS activity for the coming year.
