28th May 2024, Bangi - Centre for Quality Assurance, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) held a benchmarking visit to the Centre for Quality Assurance, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on 28th May 2024. The visit were attended by Mrs. Haslida Hassan (Deputy Director of Service Quality Assurance) , Ts. Shahril Iskandar Amir (ISMS Deputy Management Representative), Ts. Wan Hafizi Wan Umar (ISMS Risk Assessment Coordinator), Mrs. Nurainakmal Kamal Bahrin (ISMS Coordinator) and Mrs. Zenaida Zainon (Senior Registrar Assistant). This visit aims to see the implementation process of ISMS Standard transition from the 2013 version to the 2022 version by UKM. This is because UKM has gone through a SIRIM ISMS Audit based on the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Standard on 13th to 15th May 2024. This tour sharing session includes information on the scope of ISMS Certification and the entities involved, the work process of ISMS Version 2022 standard transition and the methods used in the Implementation of ISMS Risk Assessment presented by Associate Professor Dr. Malina Jasamai, Deputy Director (Quality Management System), Centre for Quality Assurance (UKM Quality), UKM. Also present together in the visit sharing session are among the UKM ISMS Main Committee. Through the presentation session delivered by UKM, CQA UPM took note of the breadth of ISMS scope and the involvement of UKM's Primary Responsibility and Support Center involved in the comprehensive implementation of ISMS at UKM. Among the processes involved are: Personnel Appointment Procedures Staff Salary Payment Process Course Registration Process Application & Data Center Management Research University Fund Application Management (UKM)   Overall, this two-and-a-half-hour sharing session had a positive impact on both Universities as they were able to share information and exchange ideas regarding the best management and implementation of ISMS and were compatible with the capacity of their respective Universities.
