This section describes the programme document preparation guide that includes the document format and template as set by MQA for the purpose of ODL programme accreditation.

6.1               Requirements for Compliance with MQA Standards and UPM                     Procedures

In preparing programme documents for the purpose of accreditation and curriculum review, faculties/schools need to refer to the latest MQA standard requirements on the MQA website https://www2.mqa.gov.my/QAD to ensure compliance of the programme with the set standards which are:

i. The latest Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF).                         Explanation related to learning level, learning outcomes and credit system based on student learning load.                 ii. Programme Accreditation Code of Practice: Open and Distance Learning (2019) (COPPA-ODL).            iii. Standard         The standard document establishes general guidelines regarding a certain level of qualification based on the MQF,                namely Foundation Courses, Executive Diplomas, Master's and Doctorate Degrees as well as Graduate Certificates                    and Graduate Diplomas.             iv.  Programme Standard         The criteria are determined based on the minimum level that needs to be achieved for a certain field and include                      all levels of MQF qualifications from certificates to degrees.        v.  Practice Guidelines         A series of guidelines to assist institutions in implementing the practices and standards contained in the                                  Programme Accreditation Code of Practice (COPPA).        2. The programme documents to be provided should:        i. using the COPPA:ODL (2019) format which can be referenced on the MQA website https://www.mqa.gov.my/           or on the UPM e-ISO portal under the Self-Accreditation module       ii.  refer to programme standards (if any); or      iii. refer to relevant standard documents, for example Master's and Doctoral Degree Standards for graduate programmes ie           Masters and PhD.     3. Faculties/Schools should ensure that the requirements for the preparation of programme documents as well as the       accreditation approval process are complied with as stated in the Study Programme Self-Accreditation Audit Procedure       (UPM/SOK/SWA/P001) and related guidelines that can be obtained at e-ISO UPM.
