April 2025, Serdang – The Quality Assurance Centre organized the Strengthening and Empowerment Course for Facilitators of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on April 17, 2025. The course was attended by 49 appointed EKSA facilitators from UPM, selected by the Quality Assurance Centre. This course served as a refresher session for existing facilitators regarding the implementation and management of EKSA, and also as an introductory session for newly appointed facilitators. The session was conducted by Mr. Harun bin Jantan, one of the EKSA champions from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

The course focused on updating EKSA-related knowledge, strengthening the understanding of EKSA audit and assessment criteria, enhancing the confidence and influence of EKSA facilitators, and sharing knowledge, experiences, and challenges in EKSA implementation. Throughout the course, participants shared their experiences and methods of implementing EKSA practices at their respective Responsibility Centres (PTJ). The speaker also emphasized the scenarios that could occur if EKSA practices are not implemented in an office, as well as the legal and administrative authority for EKSA implementation. Key steps highlighted included identifying the guidelines or governance for EKSA implementation at the PTJ level and establishing the structure and roles of the related committees.

Participants were also briefed on the evaluation criteria and methods, along with the Do's and Don'ts during the EKSA evaluation process. At the end of the workshop, all facilitators were exposed to the challenges and limitations in implementing EKSA and how to manage and resolve the issues that may arise.

Overall, the participants gave excellent feedback on both the workshop module content and its organization.
