5th August 2025 – The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) received a delegation visit from the Human Resource Management Division, Ministry of Defence Malaysia (MINDEF), and the Legal Advisor’s Office, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) on 5 August 2025.The visit involved several Responsibility Centres at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), namely the Centre for Quality Assurance, the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), and the Centre for Academic Development and Leadership Excellence (CADe-Lead). The focus of the visit was to enhance the implementation of EKSA (Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem) within existing MINDEF and MOH agencies. In addition, the objectives included gaining an overall understanding of EKSA practices at CQA, as well as providing new exposure and ideas that could be applied by MINDEF and MOH staff in their respective organisations in the future.

The visit began with welcoming remarks by Madam Hjh. Haslida Hassan, Deputy Director of Service Quality Assurance, Centre for Quality Assurance, UPM. The briefing on EKSA implementation at UPM was delivered by Madam Nurainakmal Kamal Bahrin, UPM’s EKSA Coordinator. The delegates were then taken on a tour of the working locations, including the offices of the Centre for Quality Assurance, the Administration Division, the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), and the Putra Learning Space at the Centre for Academic Development and Leadership Excellence (CADe-Lead).

On this occasion, CQA also extended its congratulations to MINDEF and MOH, which are among the government agencies that have successfully implemented EKSA and continue to make improvements to enhance their organisational image. CQA expressed its appreciation to MINDEF and MOH for choosing UPM as their reference institution for EKSA implementation. As the lead centre for EKSA at UPM, CQA always welcomes mutual knowledge and experience sharing with other government agencies. It is hoped that this collaboration will benefit all parties involved in achieving their objectives and planning the direction of EKSA within their respective organisations.
