24th October 2024, Serdang – Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) held an Internal Audit Workshop: Responding to Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) Effectively Year 2024 on 22nd August 2024 (Thursday). It was held at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Engineering, UPM starting at 9.00 am until 1.00 pm. This workshop was held with the objective to provide understanding and skills to Deputy Management Representative (TWP) and Deputy Audit Coordinator (TPAD) of the Responsibility Center (PTJ), as an auditee in responding to non-conformity reports (NCR) effectively. Tuan Haji Mat Razi Abdullah, Deputy Registrar from the UPM Science Foundation Center, who is also CQA Associate Fellow, has acted as a facilitator for the workshop. This workshop was attended by a total of 49 TWP, TPAD and PTJ representatives to ensure that PTJ takes the correct and effective action on the non-compliance (NCR) obtained during PTJ's internal audit. Effective action in responding to NCR reports is essential to ensure that such findings are not repeated. The workshop was also attended by Puan Haslida Hassan, Deputy Director of Service Quality Assurance, CQA. The workshop started with a briefing by Tuan Haji Mat Razi Abdullah and followed by a group discussion on the case studies that had been given. The workshop session ended with a group presentation and summary by Tuan Haji Mat Razi to ensure each participant understood and able to achieve the aims and objectives of the workshop.
