27th March 2025, Serdang –Center of Quality Assurance has organized the ISMS ISO//IEC 27001:2022 Internal Audit Course for the year 2025 on February 18 to 20, 2025 (Tuesday to Thursday) at the Seminar Hall, Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), UPM starting at 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. This course is a competency course for auditors for UPM to meet the requirements of the ISMS new standard. UPM will adopt the new standard for Internal Audit which will be conducted from April 7 to June 6, 2025. This course is conducted by Puan Wan Asiah Wan Mohamad Nawi, Training Consultant from the School of Information Technology and Technology Development, National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) Bukit Kiara. Puan Wan Asiah is also the instructor for the courses offered at INTAN.
This course was attended by 22 participants consisting of existing University Auditors and members of the ISMS Working Committee. This course was held with the objective for participants to learn specifically about clauses and annexes in the ISO standards, understand the concept and management of audits and be able to apply the implementation of audits, to ensure that the UPM ISMS Internal Audit in 2025 with the new standards can be implemented effectively. This course successfully achieved the planned objectives and participants were very satisfied with the organization of the course. This course is planned to be held again in 2025 to ensure that the number of ISMS auditors is increased.
