(a) Section of Quality Audit

Introduction

Quality Audit Section is part of Centre for Quality Assurance, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) under the Quality Management of Service Department.  The main role of Quality Audit Section is to plan, manage, implement and monitor all related activities within the audit scope of the Quality Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems that covers the Serdang Campus and Bintulu Campus.

Functions and Roles 

1. To plan the auditing process every year whether audit by certification bodies or internal audit for Quality Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems;
2. To coordinate the audit with the certification bodies for Quality Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems;
3. To coordinate and implement of the overall action planning of non-conformity and improvement opportunities as audited and reported by the certification bodies;
4. To conduct and implement of the Internal Audit for Quality Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems;
5. To provide advice in the process of the closure of non-conformities and corrective actions at both level internal audit and certification bodies for Quality Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems;
6. To plan and conduct training with regard to improve and enhance Auditors Competency level for Internal and University Auditors and Internal Auditors for Quality Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems; and
7. To manage the process of setting and grading criteria Star Rating Administrative Management.
